So this was the second time we have been there. 1st time was outstanding food and service. This time slightly different. The server didn't ask us if we wanted sauces with our ribs or tell us about the different choices. However, we knew about them from the first visit. That in itself was not a big deal. Here's the kicker and I'll say again the ribs were very good, however my wife ordered chips and salsa and I have seen all sorts of things come in my food but never a bolt in the salsa before. That was a first. I've had hairs, paper plastic but never hardware. The manager was speechless and very polite. She took ownership of it and comped our meal. It was handled well after the fact. Im interested on how it got there. Jury's still out on if we'll come back.

What a great concept for Pensacola Beach! I have been craving some good BBQ and the Water Pig delivered. -The staff was very friendly and made us feel comfortable and welcome. -Beautiful beachfront views are perfect to watch a sunset. -Most importantly the food was excellent! Our favorites were the ribs, brisket, Mac n Cheese and the street corn. -Their cocktail menu was unique and perfectly paired with the food. Their take on the pina colada was my favorite.If you are looking for some excellent BBQ and a break from the long waits at the fish restaurants in town, you should check this place out and you won't be disappointed!

Pretty good place

An open environment dining experience, no walls. It can get windy while eating, do hold on to your plates. The pulled pork was very good, and I hear other menu items are also. The staff are great and wonderful, they take the time to answer any questions you may have and will assist with menu options if you're undecided to what you would like. The staff check on you throughout your visit, just to see if all is okay. There is a bar you can sit at, and there is live entertainment.

If you’re looking for BBQ on the beach, this is the place. If you’re looking for good bbq, this is not the place. I had the brisket sandwich and my wife had the turkey sandwich. Both were mediocre at best. Lack of flavor for everything. I’m not even sure how you can screw up Mac and cheese but they did. Tasted like I was eating noodles with no cheese. The only thing I seemed to enjoy was their seasoned tater tots which was a copy of Lays BBQ chips seasoning. Yet another tourist trap that is overpriced for what they serve. Y’all need to do more research on BBQ seasoning.

Food was phenomenal! Customer service was great! We had a larger size party and they handled it very smoothly! One of the managers, Ross came over to our table to make sure everyone had received everything and that we were all satisfied! Our only problem was we were too full to get up and leave! Ross welcomed us to stay longer and enjoy the band that night. He almost had us convinced we needed dessert, but I assured him that we will be back and we will save room for dessert next time! We will definitely be coming back to Water Pig! Keep up the great food and energy Ross!

Had a less than fair experience last week for lunch. Staff was rude. Emailed the General Manager expressing our complaints. Haven’t heard a word from anyone.

The Brisket was great, great location and our server was great. I can tell that some of the server were new. The table next to ours didnt receive as good of service. It looks like they got lost in translation somewhere. I chalk it up to growing pains but again our service was great and the food was great. I will be back!

After a fun day on the beach we stopped here for dinner and it was great. The atmosphere, the live music, and the food made for an excellent evening. Every staff member took appropriate precautions and we were seated with a comfortable distance from other customers. Highly recommended!

Stumbled upon this place by accident. Fantastic location right on the water. Beautiful patio seating. They have only been open for three days! We had the seared romain salad and smoked jerk chicken wings. Food and service were both fantastic! We will definitely come back!

Walked in and the atmosphere was great and lively. However, the service was subpar. Waited 2 hours for a paper thin burger that was not worth the wait. All that time and I thought they were skinning the pig in the kitchen themselves. Someone in my party ordered the pulled pork sandwich and they enjoyed it. Overall, the food was mediocre and not worth the exorbitant amount of time spent to wait for it.

Amazing service, amazing food, and what a view! The live music was great and I couldnt even get a picture of my boyfriend's ribs because they were gone so fast! I highly reccomend the jerk wings as an appetizer! As a local ive been dying to find a great BBQ place, expecially one on the beach!

We have lived on Pensacola Beach for 17 years visited often before that. Always happy to see new dining options. Some have been disappointing, but not this one. We were told that the wait staff was in training, but you wouldn't have known that was the case. Cheerful attentive service. My wife and I are fairly picky about the BBQ we like. First, the pulled pork. Tender, great flavor, virtually nothing but lean meat. The ribs are dry rub, lean, and fall off the bone tender, and, unlike at most BBQ restaurants, have a different, but just as pleasing flavor when compared to the pulled pork. All four sides were excellent. Great tasting Mexican street corn, BBQ beans, Mac and cheese, and cucumber salad. Fantastic meal. Left overs didn't survive the night. It's hard for restaurants to survive in a seasonal resort community, but I certainly hope this one makes it. Top notch BBQ. We will be back. Almost forget to mention the great location and atmosphere.

Food was great, 3 star rating is because of the 'manager/person' in charge wearing an 'Innisfree' shirt was mean-mugging everyone....Not one time did he say hello to customers, patrons, etc...It was obvious that he was from corporate, perhaps he should have stayed at the office and not deal with the public, especially..if he can't even say hello/welcome to customers....His energy really made dinner uncomfortable...You could even tell that he made servers uncomfortable with his presence...Innisfree guy wasn't very welcoming... #SmileMore #CustomerService101 #SmileMan

Mmm although there's no air-conditioning the food way great an the music was enjoyable we will go again. Maybe later in the evening.the service was tariffic.

Awesome pulled pork!

The food was good, view was great, a bit overpriced in my opinion.

Ok, just had dinner here and all I can say is it's worth every penny!!. This review is going to be a bit detailed so stick with me. We had a party of 6 (4 adults 2 kids). We ordered 2 apps (pork rinds and chips & salsa) 1 1/2lbs of smoked Turkery, 1lb Brisket, 1/2 rack of ribs, 2 hot links, 2 kids mac and cheese, and sides of mac, street corn, beans, and cucumber salad and then for dessert we had the Banana Pudding. All of the food is very good. Our bill totaled $150 with alcohol and as someone who travels the country and eats BBQ weekly I can say it was worth every bit of it. Our only recommendation is that they find a new system for seating/waiting, start serving people at the tables in the sand, and lastly ditch the paper straws. Overall its a 5 out of 5 and we will definitely be back

This is a must eat stop while in Pensacola Beach. Food was great! Best brisket I've had at a restaurant in years.

Wonderful food in a great setting! Highly recommend the burger and the corn! Both were cooked to perfection! We had a large party and everyone raved about the food. The wait staff was efficient and friendly, kept our glasses filled and cheerfully responded to our requests. So nice to have such a fine alternative to seafood. Thanks to Ross for some excellent food and service.

Please surprise on the island... Real smoked bbq. We had pulled pork and brisket and it was juicy! Peglegs might have competition for the island's best food!

Great service, great food, cold beer, great atmosphere! We had the smoked mullet dip and smoked wings - both were AMAZING! Will definitely be back!

Great food.

Everything was so good that I ate half before taking a pic! Great views of the water and good playlist. Had a smoked turkey sammich and it was huge. The bbq beans are good enough to be a meal. Have to mention the street corn, fresh pickles, and fresh fruit! Definitely go here if you love food!

Couldn't even try the food, sat down and its like standing front row to a concert on full blast. Annoying music, way too loud.

Good atmosphere right on the water. Smallish menu but good food, some items a little overpriced. Smoked mullet dip was good but expensive for the serving size. Non alcoholic drinks are $3. Coworker said pulled pork sandwich was good. Would try again.

Great tots and corn. Also had brisket(fantastic) and turkey. Definitely will be back.

Overall AMAZING. Friendly staff, juicy BBQ, and fantastic foods. Bbq sauce is tangy and mild and the brisket was smoky and tender. Will definitely come back 🐖

We ate there their 2nd day opened. Beings we were visiting from Kansas City known for BBQ I have to say it was Great! I had the Burger with brisket and egg on it and WOW that brisket was the bomb. Also came with their macaroni and cheese was great. My son got the Pulled pork sandwich and wife got the chopped brisket sandwich . Everyone in my family walked away full and completely satisfied. Probably stop by again before we leave P.B. Thanks Staff!

Demi was an awesome server! The food is literally the best food u can get on the emerald coast! I highly recommend them to any and everyone! Will be making the trip to Pensacola every year literally for their food!

Everything about this place gets an A+. The atmosphere, location, view are top notch. But the food sets them apart. We ate there for the first time and had to order all the meats- pulled pork, brisket, ribs, sausage, turkey. All awesome, all authentic BBQ. Water Pig is the real deal!
